I don't have a job and I really don't want to get one right now because of my extremely bad social anxiety. So I thought maybe I could start a shop like redbubble and earn some extra cash using my art skills.
So I guess my main question is if it's worth it?
Does anyone currently or used to sell merch, if so, what was your experience and could you give me some tips?

To the best of my knowledge there is only slightly more money in drawn art than there is in music... Going from your NG profile alone, I would be surprised if your work had the kind of traction to support you financially to a degree you could survive on.
The route for most artists seems to be to work a shitty "normal" job, safe up enough money to buy some decent equipment and practice, practice, practice while hoping to grow a fan base large enough to provide financial support.
Also: Commissions.
Also also: Set up a Ko-Fi account or something for donations.
